Introducing Keith our National Sales Manager

kieth-sales-manager

Name Keith

Job title National Sales Manager

Talk me through a typical day in the office/work for you?
Each day of the week is usually different for me. Monday morning usually starts with meetings catching up with my teams, then the afternoon is spent on sales calls and service calls to existing clients. The rest of the week I could be anywhere, I’m out of the office visiting clients one or two days a week. My clients are all over the UK so I could be anywhere from Aberdeen to Bournemouth, Newcastle to Cardiff, I’m often driving up and down the country but it is important to find the time to see clients face to face.

What is your favourite part of the job?
That’s an easy one, winning a new client. It’s always been my favourite part of the job and I still get the biggest buzz from seeing someone, telling them about the business and what we’re about and securing their business. I’ve been here five and a half years and I never get tired of that feeling. It’s also great when you see clients you’ve retained year after year and they are still happy. I’ve got quite a few clients that are still with us that I initially dealt with back when I first started.

If you didn’t work at Exchequer Solutions what would be your dream job?
When I was at school I wanted to be a PE teacher. I’ve always loved sport, I used to play rugby but I’m retired from that now! I leave the playing to my little boy and watch him instead!

When you aren’t in work where are most likely to be found?
Spending time with the kids somewhere. We like to get out and about as a family visiting places like the National Trust and the zoo. It’s good to go places we can all enjoy and that keep my two children occupied.

Where would your ideal holiday be and why?
It would have to be somewhere where you can get out and about and there is plenty to do. I’m not really a fan of your typical beach holiday so less sunbathing and more activities.

Now for the quick fire round…
