Exchequer Solutions have taken part in charity events for over twenty years, raising tens of thousands of pounds in the process for a variety of good causes. This year Tony Burton, our heroic Sales Director, and Mike Lowndes, our awesome Managing Director, will be running the MBNA Chester Metric Marathon on the 8th of October to raise funds for the RNLI.
The metric marathon is an unusual distance (26.2km) and is seen as a stepping stone between a half and a full marathon. At 16.3 miles it represents a significant challenge for which the duo is training hard!
Both Mike and Tony are lovers of the UK coastline and beaches, with Mike choosing to spend his time in Abersoch and Tony favouring the beautiful beaches of Cornwall, hence the decision to raise money for the RNLI.
The RNLI is a fantastic charity that saves lives at sea and is powered primarily by donations. Most RNLI members are volunteers – ordinary people doing extraordinary things. Hopefully we will never need their help but as they head towards their 200th anniversary, we think it’s a worthy cause to support.
