How our services work and the margins we retain
At Exchequer Solutions we pride ourselves on operating in a clear and transparent way. Our services work by engaging or employing individuals on a PAYE (umbrella), CIS or freelance basis depending on their circumstances. We then in turn provide services to our client (the recruitment agency).
We invoice our agency clients for the work carried out by our employees or contractors and then retain a margin* for our services before paying our contractors and umbrella employees on a weekly basis.
*plus a margin to cover our apprenticeship levy costs.
The margin we retain is a fixed amount and is based on our contractual arrangement and on and the level of our income. The table below shows our margins.
If we receive the income from the client via the agency, then Exchequer Solutions retains a weekly margin prior to payment. We retain the margin from the amount shown above in the ‘Our income’ column and the amount retained is shown in the ‘Our weekly margin’ column.
Please note this margin includes covering the cost of public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Please note that once the margin has been retained by Exchequer, there is no refund or rebate available.
