Chester half marathon here we come!

A team of staff from Exchequer Solutions will be running in the Chester Half Marathon on 17th May.

The Chester Half Marathon starts at the famous Racecourse in the city centre and then heads north-west out of the City before returning back into the City to finish outside the Town Hall and Cathedral.  Our team of eight comprises some experienced marathon runners along with some who have been persuaded to give running a go for a good cause.  They’re already training hard and looking forward to donning their running shoes and competing on the day.Exchequer-Solutions-Chester-Half-Marathon

The team will be running in aid of Nightingale House Hospice and chose this charity honour of National Account Manager Dan’s mother-in-law Maureen Bold, who sadly passed away from cancer in September last year.

Dan said,  “Towards the end we turned to Nightingale House Hospice for some help and they provided some fantastic care and support for Mo and helped get her back on her feet, albeit temporarily, until the end. The support and care was also extended to the family and offered some real respite for the family, especially for my wife, Alicia, who had taken time off work to look after her mum who was living with us at the time.”

He continued, “Most people from around the area will have heard of Nightingale House Hospice but it’s not until you require the services of one of these providers that you realise just what amazing work they do and how they help take the burden off the family to look after their loved one. So it is because of this that we want to try and raise some cash to help support them and to thank them for the wonderful job they do.”
