As the year draws to a close we’ve been discussing some of the highlights and interesting events of the year. It’s been a great year for Exchequer Solutions but we’ve also been reminiscing about what went on outside of work. Here are some of our favourite or most memorable highlights of 2014.
- It has been the hottest and driest year on record. This meant a summer of BBQs, picnics and beer gardens.
- The ice bucket challenge provided lots of amusement and raised loads of money for good causes
- It was the year children all over the country became totally obsessed with Frozen
- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt finally tied the knot
- Malala Yousafzai was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize
- The iphone6 was launched
- It was the year of the selfie – Ellen DeGeneres’ star-stuffed Oscar photo was retweeted more than three million times
- Loom bands became a national obsession, people even made dresses out of them!
- Scotland didn’t vote for independence so the UK remains independent
- Lewis Hamilton won Formula One world title
