A Bradford based recruitment agency has opened its doors to cameras to take part in a new observational documentary series.
The series from production company Dragonfly (the production company behind the massively popular One Born Every Minute) will air on Channel 4 later this year and will simply be called The Recruitment Agency.
The 4 part series promises to follow the agency staff as they work tirelessly to secure business and fill vacancies.
I’ve always thought filming a recruitment agency would make great TV and yet it hasn’t really been done until now. This is almost certainly because most recruitment managers would be reluctant to allow that sort of access to the cameras. The sector is fiercely competitive and recruitment offices can be intense environments so it is understandable that most agencies wouldn’t even contemplate getting involved in something like this. So has the agency in question been brave or just naive?
The commissioning editor promises, “A fascinating insight into the world of recruitment and job seekers across a wide pay spectrum.” Hopefully the series will give viewers a better understanding of how hard recruiters actually work and will dispel some of negative views people may have. It’s definitely a daring move by the agency to get involved. I know I’ll be watching!
