Recruiters, changes are afoot and we’re here to help!

Changes which may affect the circumstances and pay packets of thousands of Umbrella contractors are just around the corner.

As a longstanding business that has operated through numerous other changes to legislation and tax we understand that times like this can create extra work and stress for our recruitment agency partners. Uncertainty from candidates and fielding questions can become time consuming and take you away from your core business. That’s where we come in, we are happy to speak to your candidates and talk them through their options.

Over the past 12 months we have increased our service offering to ensure we have a product for every situation so if you direct your workers to us you can rest assured that we will be able to offer them a service which suits their current needs.

Options include:

  • Outsourced Payroll
  • Exchequer PAYE with various calculations
  • Umbrella
  • CIS
  • CIS with insurance
  • Limited Company services

The only area we don’t cover is where the calculation involves National Minimum Wage not being met.

We are conscious that some agencies are still evaluating their options and may not have engaged with their current workforce yet. We would urge you to get in touch with us if this is the case as planning for changes now will help minimise stress and additional work nearer the time. April will be here before you know it!

We are also conscious that it is the contractors who may be affected financially by the changes if they are caught by the SDC test. We want to support them and make them aware of the changes allowing them time to evaluate their options.

Many contractors will be considering the PSC route. Hundreds of thousands of contractors are already operating this way. We can support contractors choosing this option through our sister company Exchequer Accountancy Services. It can take a number of weeks to complete the steps associated with setting up a Ltd Company so we’re keen to discuss this approach with contractors where we feel it may benefit them. Alternatively, we would be very keen to discuss your options with you and help assess your workforce, again we’re advising our clients to act now and avoid any last minute rushes if there are amends to be made to arrangements.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us or pass our details on to your workers who may wish to consider their options in light of the changes.
