Onshore intermediaries reporting requirements

We’re now in the first reporting period for the new legislation and many recruiters will be wondering how they are going to meet the challenge set for them by HMRC.

As the end of the reporting period (5th July) approaches we thought it would be a good time to remind agencies of the key requirements and the support we can offer.

The first deadline is 5th August so now is the time to ensure, if you haven’t already, that you have access to all the information required and have the support or resources in place to complete the report by the summer deadline.

For ALL workers the following information will need to be reported:

  • Worker name
  • NINO
  • Where no NINO is available: Date of Birth and Gender
  • Worker Address and Postcode
  • Details of how engaged (i.e. Self Employed / Umbrella)
  • Start date and end date of engagement
  • Name of company paid by agency for workers services and address
  • Company House registration number of above company

IF THE WORKER IS ENGAGED ON A SELF EMPLOYED BASIS THE FOLLOWING IS NEEDED

  • Unique Taxpayer Reference (where self-employed or a member of a partnership)
  • Amount paid for the workers services inclusive of VAT

The reporting could be a laborious and time consuming process but for all our recruitment agency clients we are here to help and want to make the process as seamless as possible for you.  We will provide you with ALL the information required for the report.  We will do this on time and free of charge for ALL the contractors that you have registered with us.

If you have any questions about the new regulations please contact your Account Manager for advice on 01244 500195.
