The weather has turned, the days are getting shorter it is definitely feeling like winter and that can only mean one thing. Christmas is just around the corner! So the big question is when is too soon to start celebrating and scoffing mince pies? (I have to confess I had my first mince pie at the weekend, in my defence a friend bought it for me!)
The current debate in the office is when can we start turning the office in to a winter wonderland? Some of us are dying to get the tinsel and fairy lights out but others are horrified at the thought of it. A quick straw poll in the office shows opinions about when to start decorating vary from after Bonfire night to the beginning of December to others who feel a week before Christmas day is soon enough.
In Chester, where our office is based the lights are officially being switched on 20th November but many of the shops are already lit up and festooned in tinsel. Apparently shops are different to offices so it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer before we get decorating here at Exchequer! What do you think? If you have rules on when you put your decorations up we’d love to hear them.
